LCV Bulgaria: Sr. Specialist, Logistics Support / STAMIS Operator - EUCOM

Responsible for the development of logistical plans, policies, and procedures necessary to provide support in the logistics areas of supply, transportation, maintenance, and services. Recommends and coordinates the logistics support structure to perform the logistics functions of the project. Coordinates the interface between logistics functions such as transportation, maintenance and warehousing to ensure efficient, timely, and cost effective support to the customer. Troubleshoots problem areas in logistics and coordinates problem resolution or recommends solutions to management. Coordinates with customers to ensure desired logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated to management. Analyzes work processes and develops metrics for measurement of performance. Coordinates with Environmental, Safety, and other Shared Services functional areas as appropriate in regard to logistical functions performed under contract. Typically requires 3-5 years experience and completion of an undergraduate degree.


Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance actions are properly processed thru the GCSS-A system. Must be able to perform causative research to solve various receipts and, issue discrepancies involving shortages, overages, damages, unit of issue/unit of measure, duplicate documents, etc. Must be a team player and, provide a strong level of customer service. Must ensure compliance and adherence to various Army regulations, SOPs and, other military Doctrine as it relates to Equipment Maintenance Operations. (AR 750-1, AR 710-2, AR 710 2-2, etc.). Adhere to all applicable safety procedures and policies. Maintain database as well as files IAW established guidelines.


  • Must be able to multi task and work with little or no supervision
  • Must have good leadership skills and the ability to make informed decisions
  • Must be able to understand and comply with various military regulations, Army regulations and, SOPs
  • Must be able to provide good oversight over the performance and production output of the entire operation.
  • NAC-I Required
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs, will require walking, bending, reaching and, carrying.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Experienced in computer database management (Word, Excel, Access) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous GCSS-Army experience as it relates to equipment maintenance operations.
  • Proficient in utilizing office equipment, programs, and spreadsheets utilized in reporting daily workload data.
