This job position is located at Aberdeen MD and provides support to multiple programs supported by IAP from the Aberdeen location. Supported customers include but are not limited to The Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical Biological Defense (JPEO CBD), Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment Central Management Office, Clothing and Heraldry Services Office, Integrated Logistics Support Center, TACOM LCMC

Logistics Specialist is responsible for wide range for logistics functions to support multiple teams deployed CONUS and OCONUS. Primary support role is providing Contract Logistics Support (CLS) to the Joint Program Manager Nuclear Biological Chemical Contamination Avoidance (JPMNBC CA). The Logistician conducts receiving, warehousing, shipment preparation, routing and distribution operations. Enforces program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Advises management on needed actions. Determine best value and most expedient logistics routes and vendors to ensure consistent customer support. Interact with local logistics providers and reach back to headquarters for support on significant issues. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciliations and inventory adjustments records using Maximo property management capabilities. Maintains physical condition of warehouse; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

â?¢Performs logistic program activities to include, Shipping, Receiving, Inventories and safeguarding material and supplies.
â?¢Planning coordinating and completing shipment of material and supplies to and from CONUS and OCONUS locations. â?¢Conducting, compiling and submitting cyclic inventory report to IPA Property Management team.
â?¢Coordinating and completing Return Merchandise Authorizations. (RMA) and associated documentation.
â?¢Develop packaging and shipping material requirements for all program material and inventory.
â?¢Maintain property records, equipment transfers and disposition.
â?¢Conducts catalog research using FLIS, FEDLOG data bases.
â?¢Resolves logistics problems and compiles data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to support logistic activities.
â?¢Track usage and inventory of obsolete items.
â?¢Assist deployed team with completing trade compliance documentation.
â?¢Operate and maintain 4-6K forklift.
â?¢Other duties as assigned.

Level of Supervision: Works minimal supervision in a reliable manner to complete all tasks within schedule and quality standards.

Required Education & Experience:
â?¢High School Diploma and 1 year of experience.
â?¢Have excellent oral and written communication skills

License & Certifications:
â?¢State Driver's License

Knowledge & Skills:
â?¢Proficient with Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
â?¢Able to learn how to drive a forklift

Physical Demands/Working Environment:
â?¢Must be physically able to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
â?¢Must be able to lift heavy objects ~40lbs.
