ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Executive Director, Business Development, DISA to join our team in Herndon, VA or remotely.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Work closely with the ManTech business programs and Cyber Division to provide strategic direction and leadership

  • Identify/develop new pipeline opportunities

  • Develop comprehensive and compelling solutions

  • Support the development of innovative capture strategies and assist in the preparation of winning proposals for our government customers

  • Understand market trends and technical direction of these customers and translating customer intelligence into compelling pursuit strategies and solutions

  • Leverage a deep mission understanding of customer’s needs and objectives focused in the areas of Enterprise IT; Systems Engineering and Software Development; Managed Services; Data Center, Cloud and Cloud Migration; IT Infrastructure; Data Transport and Systems Integration; Application Development and Modernization; Big Data and Data Analytics; Cyber Threats, Cyber Security and Advanced Technologies

  • Develop and execute customer call plans in support of ManTech pursuits

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience

  • Prior Department of DISA sales/business development/capture experience

  • Track record of successful capturing and winning >$100M new business RFPs

  • Demonstrated ability to cross-sell capabilities and solutions into adjacent DISA markets

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered, particularly with military service.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead/execute disciplined account management supporting future capture and proposal efforts for large and/or complex captures

  • Ability to pivot sell expanding capabilities into Enterprise Information Technology; Data Center, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud and Cloud Migration; Enterprise IT Application Development, COTS Business Applications, Modernization and Maintenance

  • The candidate must be an organized, aggressive, and highly-skilled professional with proven success in selling in a highly competitive systems engineering and professional service markets to DISA customers.

  • Candidate must be willing to travel for the position.

  • It is preferable that the candidate has held a lead role in a defense and professional services sales organization

  • Experience with a variety of contract types including cost plus fixed fee, fixed price, award fee, and performance-based contracting are key.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
