Job Skills / RequirementsPosition Summary:The Housekeeping Supervisor works with the Operation Manager, leads, and employees to plan, organize, and support the overall operations of the Housekeeping department to ensure a clean, safe working environment in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Hospital standards.Required Functions:Mandatory compliance with all safety requirements and procedures including use of personal protective equipmentPreventive maintenance check on all equipment prior to useMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionMust be knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the care facilityMust have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the departmentMaintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.Maintains confidentially of proprietary and/or confidential informationMust understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresEssential Functions:Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, to interpret the goals, objectives, policies, and procedures to support the EVS departmentMust maintain the care of use of supplies and equipment, maintain facility appearance, and must perform regular inspections for sanitation, order, safety, the improper proper performance of assigned dutiesMust be able to ensure equipment in return to a proper location in proper working condition and ready for the next useMust be able to inventory stop to insure adequate supplies/equipment for staffMust be able to identify additional cleaning needs and adjust the schedule to meet those needsMust be able to make daily rounds to ensure that housekeeping staff are performing required dutiesMust be able to routinely inspect facility cleanliness and safety ( i.e, storage rooms, closets, patient rooms)Must be able to recruit, select, higher, evaluate, train, counsel, and supervise housekeeping staffMust be able to effectively manage and operate within budgetYou must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patientsMust be able to concentrate, use reasoning skills in good judgmentMust be able to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary teamMust be able to hear, see, speak, sit, stand, bend, lift, push, stoop, walk, reach, and move immediately during working hoursMust be able to work a flexible scheduleQualifications:Ability to work independently or in small groups with minimal assistance or supervision Willing to follow established safety proceduresAttention to detail and passion for quality workmanshipWillingness to provide exceptional customer service to clientsPunctual and dependable attendance and willing to work extra hours as neededAbility to understand and follow directions from supervisionUse of equipment:Mop and wringerTrash barrelComputerLight and heavy vacuumWide area vacuumPhoneDuster an extensionVehiclePrinterTravel requirements:Little to no travel requirements (less than 10%)Lifting requirements: MediumLifting of 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects Wayne up to 25 poundsSchedule:Days and shifts will be discussed during the interview.
