Position Summary:· Respiratory Therapist – Medical Center of the Rockies, Loveland, CO· 13 Week Travel Assignment· Full Time· Straight NightsASAP start dateTraveler contract - 13 weeks - extension opportunities75 mile radius ruleRegistered Respiratory Therapist - RRT - required for perm staff and for Traveler contracts.Position Requirements:· America Heart Association BLS, ACLS and RRT Summary - Respiratory Therapist Traveler - Medical Center of the Rockies, Loveland, COThe Respiratory Therapy Department at Medical Center of the Rockies (MCR) provides routine and critical care respiratory therapy 24/7 to a wide variety of patient populations. MCR is a tertiary care center serving northern Colorado, southern Wyoming and western Nebraska. MCR has one of the largest cardiovascular programs in the state and provides open-heart, interventional CV and minimally invasive CV surgical procedures. MCR is also designated as a Level II trauma center. The department supports two 12-bed adult ICUs, two 12-bed Progressive Care Units which can flex to ICU beds, a 5 bed Special Care Nursery as well as general medical/surgical, ortho/neruo/spine and emergency departments. Respiratory Therapy is an integral part of the Code Blue, Trauma Emergency, and Rapid Response teams. Job Duties· Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.· Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.· Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.· Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
