Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Spacecraft Systems Engineer to join our team in the Chantilly, VA area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•    Provide technical assistance to the Government in the development of satellite systems.
•    Assist with the design, development, integration and test, and on-orbit deployment, activation, calibration and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for space systems throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
•    Participate in launch system integration activities, launch vehicle integration, compatibility assessments, and launch, activation, and calibration readiness activities.  
•    Support test planning and coordinate test activities with other support Government offices as needed for tasking, calibration, and data analysis.  
•    Assist the Government in front-line factory oversight of development, integration and test activities at the subsystem and system level, to include recommendations with regard to test environments, processes and schedules, interface management, test equipment, anomaly resolution, and management of integration and test risks.
•    Provide on-site, factory representation at designated development contractor facilities.
•    Provide oversight to mission assurance and safety activities.
•    Perform spacecraft anomaly resolution.
•    Review, analyze, and assess technical materials and CDRLs and non-CDRL documents to include specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), verification plans and procedures, test data, and qualification, acceptance and validation test plans at the system, subsystem and element, and unit levels.
•    Provide assistance managing and tracking contractor performance metrics.

Basic Qualifications
•    A bachelor’s degree in a Technical discipline (advanced degrees preferred) and 6 years of experience.
•    Work experience in spacecraft systems engineering with the IC or DoD.
•    Demonstrated ability to apply understanding of spacecraft acquisition, integration, testing, operations, and transition
•    Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; adept at other MS applications
•    Demonstrated knowledge of working under Government oversight and with contractor peers within the Intelligence Community (IC) 
•    Demonstrated knowledge of acquisition management regulations, practices, policies and procedures and Acquisition Program Baseline development

Clearance Requirements:  
TS/SCI with polygraph is required

Physical Requirements:
•    Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
•    Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
•    Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
