Description
SAIC is seeking a GFE/GFX Control Management SME to be responsible for equipment and peripherals management through the entire project and program life cycle for an exciting and innovative complex space and ground effort. The successful candidate will work both independently and in a team based environment to develop, coordinate and manage equipment repository, processes, methodology and related communication.
Daily Activities include:
Serve as a SME in support of Supply Chain/Logistics/Property Management and Procurement requirements
Interact with stakeholders, vendors and contractors to maintain efficient and effective control management processes, procedures and systems
Assist program / project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep all parties informed
Attend meetings and assist with determination of equipment requirements and status
Assess processes and procedures to identify efficiencies aimed at streamlining initiatives
Apprise management and all program stakeholders of risk and progress issues early enough to be addressed
Ability to demonstrate technical expertise in the following areas:
Manage and validate capitalized property acquisitions in support of planning, execution, and audit
Assist client/management with oversight of logistics budget planning and preparing supply chain program briefings and point paper analysis
Provide advice, technical consulting, and recommendations related to equipment and supply reviews
Support Procurement, Warehousing, Asset Management, Plant Maintenance, and Government Transportation
Serve as a SME for administration, management, and control of Plant, Property & Equipment (PP&E)
Assist with the proper reutilization of Government property and disposal of surplus property
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Qualifications:
Experience in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or related discipline
Possess knowledge of industry accepted standards and best practices related to Supply Chain Management
Demonstrated ability to conduct analysis and evaluations- making recommendations and providing professional advice and assistance to include preparing criteria and analytical aids, briefings, reports and presentations
Recent experience and knowledge of client tools and processes
Skilled/comfortable working in high-tempo environment, able to be flexible and to adjust to dynamic political, technical and/or fiscal challenges
Desired Qualifications:
Understanding of Systems Applications & Products (SAP), SharePoint, and Microsoft Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel)
Knowledge of Property Manuals
National Property Management Association (NPMA) Certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Clearance Requirements:
Current TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph
