You will work hands-on with space hardware, translating designs into reality, and your skill and attention to detail will translate directly to on-orbit mission success.Job DutiesAnd ResponsibilitiesFabricate electro-mechanical assemblies for spacecraft and ground systemsSoldering and reworking of through-hole and SMT componentsDocument non-conformances and associated rework/repairMinimum Qualifications:2 years experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent high-reliability fieldCertification to J-STD-001 space, NASA.STD.8739.4Demonstrated exceptional attention to detailExperience repairing and assembling printed circuit boards with surface mount componentsExceptional fine motor skillsAbility to read schematics, drawings, mechanical drawings, circuit layouts, and parts listsAbility to lift up to 40 poundsApplicants must pass a soldering and crimping test.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a clean roomAbility to create mechanical and electrical drawings from engineer's draft inputsAbility to create manufacturing procedure documentsPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Frequent standing, sitting is requiredAble to lift up to 40lbs to transfer or move tools, parts, equipment, containers and materialsHave the ability to operate standard computer software (Microsoft office and ERP), equipment and keyboardsAble to work in normal office as well as inside and outside industrial working environmentsPossess the ability to work in confined spaces and at heightsHave ability to fly on regular commercial airlines to offsite locations and launch facilitiesFamiliar with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to, filtered respirators, SCAPE (Self Contained Atmospheric Protective Ensemble), portable air packs, and splash suitsApplicant Privacy PolicyPowered by JazzHRi3PB7gCSB0
