The Advanced Forensics Team offers highly-challenging and rewarding positions with significant impact on national security and the opportunity for rapid upward mobility in the areas of computer forensics/mobile device forensics; data recovery; reverse engineering; hardware engineering; digital forensic analysis; and digital and analog electronics.  

Currently, ManTech is seeking a Microelectronics Exploitation Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia, and have experience in several areas below, which are also projects in which the candidate will be assigned.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• PCB testing, repairs requiring expert soldering skill, and data extraction.

• Digital media imaging, damaged media recovery and digital forensic analysis.

• Determining functions and capabilities of digital and analog electronics.

• System programming familiarity C, C++, ASM (MIPS, ARM, x86), Verilog, Python.

• RF system and antenna experience.

• Data communication implementation and standards (wired and wireless).

• Linux and Windows operational experience.

• Knowledge of high-speed printed circuit board design.

• Circuit board population, bring-up, test and debug.

• Experience with power electronics, switching power electronics, and embedded power systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or related degree /applicable experience, and 2 or more years' related experience.

• Strong technical written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with digital data extraction, damaged media recovery, hardware repair/recovery, printed circuit board, electrical engineering, Altium, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ad, BlueTooth, UMTS, GSM, CDMA, NFC, or computer forensics is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 6 months hands-on experience is helpful in one or more of the following: data storage technology design and repair, PCB design and repair, logic analyzers and protocol analysis, and computer programming .

Security Clearance Requirements:

• TOP SECRET/SCI with FSP

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of time.

• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
