ManTech is actively seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Facilities Integration Engineer to join our team in the Cape Canaveral, FL area.
This position supports Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) certification, Non-Recurring Design Validation, and mission activities with SpaceX's Falcon launch vehicles providing launch services for National Security Space Launch (NSSL) satellite missions.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide Launch System Facilities integration support to SMC Enterprise Systems Launch (SMC/ESL) through the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Contract while stationed at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. Work will include support to the United Launch Alliance Atlas and Delta family of launch vehicles and SpaceX Falcon and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles along with their respective launch complexes. Will support launch facility engineering to include risk assessment, monitoring and reporting on status of projects, operations and maintenance of CCAFS launch processing facilities and their associated systems. General Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyzing and reviewing designs and test plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, system analysis, and documentation preparation for complex systems.
Providing systems engineering to include risk assessment, monitoring and reporting on status of projects, console operations, operations and maintenance of launch sites and support facilities.
Performing launch site and support facility integration.
Evaluation of launch site and support facilities architecture plans, configuration management and managing the baselines for communication, video, data transmission, emergency management, power, HVAC, structural, water/sewage, other systems upgrades and proposed modifications.
Conducting systems engineering analyses, planning, design reviews, and studies to identify methods for fulfilling user requirements based on existing capabilities.
Conducting engineering analyses, planning, design reviews, and studies to identify requirement shortfalls and provide capability assessments, concepts of operations, and risk assessments to ensure launch site and support facility readiness to meet mission needs.
Conducting launch site and support facility project management, surveillance, testing and quality control inspections.
Updating drawings, systems configuration, checklists, systems specifications, equipment demarcations, and life expectancy of associated equipment.
Maintaining continuity products containing facility and system reports, schedules, work orders, facility layouts, drawings/schematics including redlines, and relevant electronic files for ancillary equipment in support of missions.
Engineering Degree majoring in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in related STEM field with a minimum of 8 years of related experience
Experienced in system engineering and project management and working with senior Government program managers and various contractor support staffs as well as in a multi-disciplinary, geographically separated team environment.
Experience with ULA and Space X Launch Processing Facilities and Ground Systems to include, HIF/SLC-37, VIF/SLC-41, ITL, SLC-40 and SLC-39 HIGHLY DESIRED.
U.S. Citizenship Required
Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial business applications
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
