ManTechs Air Force and Space Division is recruiting highly talented candidates to support a contract that provides cradle to grave support to the United States Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Launch Systems Enterprise Directorates National Security Space Launch (NSSL) program.

We assist the Air Force by supporting a multitude of areas, including Systems Engineering & Integration, Acquisition & Program Management Support, Mission Integration Management, System Safety & Environmental Engineering, Systems Security & Information Assurance, Launch Schedule and Risk Management, Certification of New Entrant Launch Vehicles.

ManTech is actively seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Software Engineer II - JIRA/Confluence Specialist to join our team in the Patrick AFB, FL area.

Requirements:

  • Provide expertise in a wide array of enterprise collaborative services, with ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and lead team activities to resolve issues and implement ad-hoc solutions.

  • Create products that utilize DoD Platform One applications, to include Confluence and Jira software products, to provide robust communications and program/project management solutions.

  • Work directly with engineers, developers and leadership to understand their specific JIRA/Confluence needs and provide guidance and solutions.

  • Design and implement dashboards for operational/performance reporting metrics and reports based on Branch and mission needs. Create workflows with conditions, validations, automations, and post functions.

  • Develop workflows, customizations, and integrations to support management on behalf of product teams and coordinate tasks across other members of the DevSecOps team.

  • Work closely with information owners to coach and mentor them on how to implement Jira/Confluence and Atlassian-related products and associated plugins.

  • Prepare and lead training sessions to teach valuable skills that lead toward organization-wide adoption of available enterprise services and software products.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on available services software products to field questions and provide hands-on support to product teams as they move forward with adoption of DevOps tools and practices.

  • Set-up and manage user permissions and project roles, provide JIRA/Confluence training to users.

  • Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve JIRA/Confluence issues reported by end users.

  • Create business rules for optimal use of these products.

Responsibilities may include:

The successful candidate will be engaged in the following activities, providing Systems Engineering and Integration discipline support, including team coordination and planning, interaction with program and project management, generation and maintenance of specifications and control documentation, and support of government technical interchange meetings, progress reviews, and technical and program milestone meetings, including review of verification and validation plans.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or in an engineering/STEM discipline.

  • 4+ years direct experience and expert level knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.

  • Minimum of 8 years of overall experience as a software engineer, programmer, software developer or other related areas.

  • Experience in a DevSecOps CI/CD environment leveraging containerized deployments.

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance at the SECRET level

  • US Citizenship Required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to interface directly with senior personnel and customers and possess solid productivity skills and experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).

  • Experience administering applications on VMs, monitoring performance, and analyzing logs in a cloud environment.

  • Atlassian Certified Professional credentials.

  • Comfortable working in an environment with strong governmental oversight.

  • Effective listener and have a proactive presence in a multi-tasking, multi-disciplined environment, working independently and in a team environment.

  • Thorough and detail oriented.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
