Title:

IT Support Engineer

Role Context:

KBR has been awarded a support contract by the UK Ministry of Defence (UK MOD). Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide communications network operations, maintenance, and training services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a significant project that expands our portfolio of work with the UK MOD and in the Middle East.

Under the contract, KBR is seeking to recruit staff to deliver:

· Support in delivering IP Telephony, host applications such as Network Management System, Cable Management Systems and incident management software.

· Operation of Service Desks.

· Support to maintain operational capability of Fixed & Deployable equipment/capabilities.

· Design & deliver a new Management Information System

· Technical & English Language Training.

· Built Estate maintenance and upkeep.

Role Description:

The IT Support engineer is responsible for support the IT operations lead in maintaining the operation of the KBR-SL network and providing level 1 and support to all assets and services.

3. Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science or higher.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in support of corporate IT systems
  • Have, or be able to obtain, necessary security clearance.
  • Strong English skills

Experience and Skills:

Essential:

  • Certified in Microsoft office, Azure and exchange support
  • Qualification in network management including server configuration and
  • Experience of supporting network environments with 300 – 500 users
  • Experienced in working with multi-national teams
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service with strong customer focus.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience of presenting to a range of high- level stakeholders.
  • Strong team player and role model, capable of gaining trust and support of team and customer.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries.
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
  • Knowledge of the Facilities Management, IT or Delivery Partner industries.
  • BMC Remedy certification.
  • ITIL recent certification.
  • Experience with Citirx and virtual machine environments
  • Knowledge of SAP
