Position Summary/ObjectiveThe CDL Truck Driver's primary duties include driving trucks short and long distances to deliver a variety of products to customers in compliance with all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations.Job DutiesResponsibilities:Safety ComplianceRegular inspection of equipment to ensure safe operationPick-up and safely transport goods to the intended destination.Ensure contents are properly secured in the truck, flatbed to prevent damage/injury.Maintaining a clean truck cab, free of garbage and other debris. Able to safely maneuver over, under or around the equipment as job requires (while complying with OSHA, DOT and other safety regulations).Able to throw straps to facilitate proper strapping/securing of the payload.Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.Responsible for reporting of any injuries that take place to the supervisor immediately.Maintains quality service by complying with organization standards documentation policies, maintenance requests and metrics etc. DOT ComplianceAble to operate an ELD (Electronic Logging Device) to record hours worked as required by DOT, HOS (Hours of Service) regulations and Pallet Service Corporation’s standards.Possession and compliance with maintaining a valid Class A driver’s license and Medical Certificate card.Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions.Comply with DOT regulations (size, weight, route designations) as well as with company policies and procedures.Load PaperworkObtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries.Document and retain fuel/toll/maintenance receipts.Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required.2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred.Clean driving record with no moving violations.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.Possess physical stamina and focus during long driving shifts.Able to operate, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.Proficient using GPS and other routing systems.Map reading and route planning experience.Powered by JazzHRt3x44bT7BY
