The position will be based in Warrington with visits to West Cumbria as required.
Reporting to the Contract Management Lead within the Commercial Services Team the Graduate Quantity Surveyor position will include but not be limited to the following
Contribute to the development of new and the amendment of current commercial processes and procedures for the Project Programme Partnership (PPP).
As part of the commercial services team, contribute to the delivery of key activities and services being provided for the PPP on a daily basis.
Assist in the development and agreement of contract terms & condition.
Contribute to risk management processes to ensure the protection of KBR and the PPP commercial interests.
Provide assistance to the administration and regular reporting of contract change (Early Warnings, Compensations Events, Instructions).
Assist in the preparation of commercial services weekly & monthly reporting.
Contributing to the development and delivery of commercial training within the PPP.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
Ideally degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
Experience of working with clients and subcontractors in a commercial role.
Good IT skills.
Understanding and working knowledge of the management of terms and conditions of contract.
NEC would be an advantage but not essential
Ability to work to set deadlines and priorities.
Ability to work within integrated teams in a collaborative manner.
Experience in the nuclear industry or other regulated industry an advantage, but not essential
Understanding of corporate governance procedures and reporting
Working towards a Professional Charter Status of a recognised organisation (RICS or CICES) an advantage but not essential
Must hold SC Clearance or be capable of obtaining UK Nuclear industry clearance
