Controls and Instrumentation Technician
Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience, strong mechanical aptitude, PC literate including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications. S/he will interact regularly with customers and co-workers, thus strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be a clear communicator is required. Valid Driver's License is required. Ability to travel as needed is required.

Provide field services for Emerson control systems, control valves, instrumentation, on-off valves, actuators and regulators at customer sites or in Control Associates' repair facility. Assist in providing Installed Base Services for Emerson and other manufacturers at customer sites, or in Control Associates facility.

Perform on-site troubleshooting and/or remote diagnostics of valves and instrumentation using ValveLink or AMS diagnostic software tools to determine overall health of the equipment when required.

Perform onsite troubleshooting to determine root cause of communication, network and/or control problems.

Perform remote diagnostics determine root cause of performance problems.

Repair, rebuild or replace malfunctioning control system components in accordance with factory specifications as required.

Replace malfunctioning control valves, automated on-off valves, regulators and instrumentation in accordance with factory specifications.

Prepare Field Service Reports documenting parts repaired or replaced and services performed.

Prepare calibration documentation including as-found/as-left calibration records, parts repaired or replaced and other services performed as required by the customer.

Perform Control Associates Valve Automation and Distribution Center work including the assembly, modification, calibration and testing of control valves, automated on-off valves and regulators as required.
Assist in performing periodic on-site Planned Maintenance and System and Device Performance Monitoring visits in accordance with Control Associates, Inc. Lifecycle Services contractual requirements and factory specifications.

Assist in performance of on-site control valve and instrumentation calibrations, upgrades and modifications.

Assist in performance of control system set-ups, upgrades and installations.

Assist in performing on-site system diagnostics to determine overall health and performance capability of the control system.

Coordinate services activities and work in conjunction with Emerson Instrument & Valve Services personnel as required.

Be available when required for performing emergency services after normal working hours Monday � Friday, as well as weekends and public holidays.
