Columbus Technical College seeks an individual to serve as the Program Director/Instructor for the Pharmacy Technology programs. The Program Director will serve as the first-line administrator within the program area, responsible for the overall leadership, planning, implementation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of all aspects of the program. This individual will ensure that the program complies with all the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)/Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accreditation standards. This individual will be responsible for the classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction and prepare lesson plans for the classroom, lab, and clinical setting. This position will also require evaluation of student progress in attaining goals and objectives; attend staff development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences, and ensure all safety and security requirements are met. This position is full-time/exempt.

Please note the following information regarding this position:
a) May be required to teach high school students
b) May require teaching on or off campus throughout our service delivery area (Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee County, Harris County, and Talbot County)
c) May require travel

Prepares and plans for instruction and delivers instruction to students in the Pharmacy Technology programs;
Develops program syllabi, goals, and objectives;
Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives;
Requests and maintains supplies and equipment and prepares budget requests;
Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports;
Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area;
Meets with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students' instructional program and other issues;
Assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts;
Maintain program standards by participating in related advisory committee meetings and working directly with local employers;
Contribute to the writing of accreditation and assessment reports;
Maintain program accreditation through the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)/Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE);
Excellent human relations, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Minimum Qualifications
Current Georgia state license as a Pharmacists or Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
If Pharmacy Technician, he/she:
Must have an Associate's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university.
Must be a graduate from an ASHP/ACPE accredited pharmacy technician training program
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Inpatient, Intravenous Medication Preparation, Sterile and Non-Sterile Medication Compounding and outpatient retail pharmacy experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Have one or more years' experience teaching pharmacy technician courses.
Experience in BANNER, Blackboard, and MS Office.
Knowledgeable about ASHP/ACPE program accreditation

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
