Become an integral part of a diverse team while working at an Industry Leading Organization, where our employees come first.  At ManTech International Corporation, you’ll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Corrosion Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Pt. Mugu, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

In 2015, the NAE CPT institutionalized corrosion training, logistics, and engineering support at the flight-line with the deployment of NATEC Corrosion Maintenance Readiness Team (C-MRTs) Site Representatives.

With a current footprint of 71 C-MRTs across 24 sites, Site Reps provide flight line support for more than 20 T/M/S and have vastly improved corrosion abatement processes, from the flight line to engineering.

Site reps are hand selected for their prior service experience as senior enlisted maintenance professionals with in-depth knowledge of TMS corrosion abatement practices and maintenance control backgrounds.

Most were prior navy instructors.

Additionally, C-MRTs understand the challenge of balancing OPTEMPO with consistent scheduled maintenance to build and sustain readiness.  This provides them the ability to mentor, coach and train personnel at all levels of the command.

C-MRTs interact daily with commands up and down the flight line to ensure realized improvements and gains do not atrophy as active duty personal rotate in and out of squadrons.

Site reps developed numerous classroom training modules based on knowledge gaps noted within their TMSs, and at various locations.  They continually review training to ensure relevancy and applicability.

Classroom training includes: Basic corrosion, TMS specific corrosion maintenance practices, Focus Area List (FAL) awareness, QA & 4790 NAMP Corrosion Policy, OOMA Documentation practices, Top-Down Leadership, Corrosion for Managers and Pre-Deployment briefs.  They also engage in daily On-Aircraft and Over the Shoulder (OTS) training events to model correct maintenance practices during inspections or to teach and reinforce approved corrosion prevention and treatment maintenance.

The C-MRTs are also involved with finding or developing new corrosion mitigation strategies.  They work with Squadrons, Wings, NATEC, NAVAIR and FST Engineering colleagues to identify and propose solutions to enhance the longevity and safety of naval aircraft.

The C-MRT candidate must demonstrate skillful oral and written communication skills.  Their role will often require them to address large audiences, effectively mentor maintenance controllers as well as Naval and Marine Corps officers.   He or she must also possess the ability to write well-constructed and coherent communications, reports related to corrosion improvements, TPDRs or logistics mitigation proposals.

Required skills include:

Must have experience in corrosion control work center or air frames

Non-military equivalent experience level is at or above senior journeyman level, Senior Electronics or Engineering Technician level, etc.
