Senior RF Engineer

KBR is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to join our team at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, Virginia. Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic & Sensor Department’s Electronic Warfare & Spectrum Operations Division provides expertise and leadership to ensure the safety, reliability, and operational effectiveness of Navy and Joint systems exposed to the operational Electromagnetic Environment (EME) through spectrum management.

The following qualifications are required:

  • Four (4) year degree from an accredited College or University in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in the areas of Navy/Joint Operational Spectrum Management processes, applications, and systems
  • Eight (8) years’ experience in the application of Navy EMI and EMC criteria for operational spectrum coordination
  • Demonstrated understanding of the operation and evaluation of afloat Navy communications, combat systems, electronic warfare systems, and navigation aids with the ability to prepare hardware and software installation plans, write test plans/reports, conduct analytical evaluation of systems’ RF compatibility, and develop actionable EMC techniques
  • Experience in conducting Navy spectrum EMI/EMC testing and evaluations, performing engineering analyses to predict and define spectrum EMI problems, define/design actionable corrective measures, and operational implementation of systems in the U.S. Navy
  • Four (4) years’ experience in developing and updating Navy spectrum documentation, fleet operational publications, position papers, white papers, and briefings relating to Navy spectrum considerations experience in trade-off analyses for development, fielding, and life-cycle support of tactical decision aids for electromagnetic spectrum de-confliction
  • Two (2) years’ experience in developing and executing systems level tests for commercial 4G/5G Long Term Evolution (LTE) systems
  • Secret Clearance is required.
