We are looking for: • 5 years and above experience in automotive industry,• Bachelor's or Associate degree in engineering/ material science/ manufacturing technologiesSkills needed to perform the job:• Having experience of part development with different Auto OEMs.• Able to lead teardown activity & handle ideation for cost reduction activity for sub systems, like chassis, Brake system, fuel tank & shock absorber• Working experience on competition benchmarking & engineering analysis with competitors’ products• Should be able to understand the technical requirements for a part / product, work with teams to create specifications, understand manufacturing needs, work with VAVE team on evaluation requirements and transfer to production.• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for commodities like sheet metal, Casting, Forging, Machining, Weldments, Mechanical Assemblies, Plastic Molding, and or Electronic components.• Knowledge on different engineering Materials, GD&T, Tolerance Analysis, DFM (Design for Manufacturing).• Proven ability to interpret and understand integrated manufacturing cost parameters in terms of Labor, Material, and Overhead drivers for such products.• Able to find and conclude reporting at assembly and part level for benchmarking and engineering analysis.• Knowledge of US Automotive standards.• Proficient communication• Strong leadershipNice-to-have skills: -Knowledge on CBAM, CBIS is a plus.Responsibilities (not limited to):• Organizing workshops, documentation of results• Bottom up calculation of the tear down parts• Analyze data and preparation of presentations• Benchmark analysis of competitor parts, technologies, production systems• Create, manage and follow up on presentation sheets for product ideas and cost reduction points• Assure Projects must have clear project timelines, tasks, milestones, required resources,• Participation in project status meetings• Coordinate with back office engineers, experts for data processing, evaluation and presentation• Written documentation on project activities and forecast• Follow up on tasks, escalation, documentation of results and feedbacks• Analyze data and prepare documents needed for project monitoringAbout the project: We are working with a global leader in the automotive industry in a really sensitive and strategic project.
