Client: Our client is a 150-year-old, high-growth, extremely profitable, highly innovative, $7 Billion Manufacturer with a globally recognized brand ranked a Top 25 Privately-Owned business in the US Fortune & Forbes with 30,000+ employees operating out of 55 locations on 6 continents.Position: Quality Engineer Reports to:                  Plant Quality Manufacturing ManagerPosition Purpose: Responsible for fulfilling the role of Quality expert; this is a hands-on position. Ensure the quality of the parts produced to meet customer expectations; quickly and effectively take action when non-conformances are found. Maintain the most recent interpretations of the quality system requirements and therefore ensure that documented practices meet the true interpretation of the quality management system standards.What is a day to day like for someone in this role?Work with the floor associates and management solving problems, leading teams to improve first-pass yield, implementing error-proofing projects, assisting with work instructions, containing material/finished goods to protect the customer.What are your top three non-negotiables?Engineering or manufacturing Co-op experience in an industrial products businessExperience leading projects to improve business metricsIndividual must be a self-starter, not afraid to talk to all levels of the organization, with a high sense of urgencyWhat would you consider to be the challenges of this position? Be able to network with multiple areas of the business. Great first role in manufacturing. Growing business. Never working on the same thing.What is the career progression?This individual could progress within engineering, quality, operations, plant leadership.Requirements: Bachelor degree in Engineering, prefer Manufacturing or Mechanical1-3 years of relevant experience Strong mechanical aptitude (i.e. intuitive understanding of mechanical processes)Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.Culture: Innovation, Integrity, Humility, Growth-MindsetComputer Skills: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Experience with other quality software applications beneficial.
