Director Of Engineering - Distribution/Design - Military veterans preferred

Description and Responsibilities:My 3PL client is seeking veteran Industrial Engineer to help lead their design and solutions team. This person will be responsible for 5-6 engineers providing solutions to potential clients along-side the sales team; “design” can include layout, pick path, slotting, calculating labor and staffing models, MHE, WMS, and WCS work. The hired candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:Leading the team in the development of tactical strategies through the project lifecycle.Interfacing with clients across different sectors in distribution and logistics to understand their profile and needs.Leading a team of engineers to meet project deadlines while training and developing other engineers on the team.Leading the data-driven design for various clients by analyzing order profiles, volume, peaks and valleys, SKU, and budgetary data.Ensuring the team validates the deliverables before being turned over to the Implementation team.Serving as the subject matter expert on project designs.Being a cultural leader for the company’s values and mission. Qualifications:The qualified candidate will possess most of the following traits:10+ years of design engineering for distribution and fulfillment centers.A Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering.A demonstrated history and track-record of winning accounts.Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft applications.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Prior experience directly leading other engineers on large-scale projects.Must be open to 20% travel.Company Profile:My client is 10B+ dollar company with locations in over 60 countries.
