This role is all about creating, updating, and maintaining a variety of user documentation, including how-to guides, manuals, cheat sheets, and instructions. You’ll work closely with our Compliance Officer to create and approve processes and procedures. Our ideal Technical Writer is extremely knowledgeable about all elements of their field, with incredible attention to detail and an analytical approach to ensure reviews are thorough and accurate. You’ll be a self-starter, able to deliver effective results under changing business and technical conditions. What does the job look like? As a Technical Writer, your daily duties may include...Creating, updating, and maintaining user documentation.Ensuring technical verbiage is easy to understand.Ensuring fields flow in the correct sequence.Writing clear and concise policies and procedures.Submitting copy to managers for feedback.Adjusting copy and proofreading for grammar and spelling.Releasing documents following final approval.Participating in Servicing sessions to stay on top of upcoming changes.Preparing draft documentation.Writing, updating, maintaining Freedom’s policies, process, and procedures.Effectively communicating with all departments.Tracking deliverables to ensure they are completed on time.Education & RequirementsBachelor’s Degree from a 4-year College or University OR 1-2 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 2+ years of technical writing experience in policy, process, and procedures fields with focus on end user documentation and help systemsStrong interest in software and technical writing technologiesExperienced with SharePointIf you invest your drive and commitment with us, you’ll realize an incredible return, in a diverse environment where all staff can grow and flourish.
