Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in Hanover, MD.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain, upgrade, monitor, troubleshoot and diagnose and resolve problems for all lab network devices.
  • Assess the scope and requirements of capability requests and assure technical support for those requirements.
  • Provide technical recommendations to the support team in maintaining the lab IT/networking architecture.
  • Maintain network administration for hardware and software support for all DNT developer requests, and new IT prototypes being hosted in the lab (large and small scale).
  • Prepare configuration and maintenance of lab assets built on Cisco, Juniper, and other network devices.
  • Conduct informal training in order to provide knowledge transfer to all SA Team and eliminate single points of failure of task/function.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. (or equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in network administration.
  • Proficiency in working with applicable network devices to include repeaters, bridges, routers, gateways, and hubs.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with computer networking protocols including, but not limited to TCP, IP, UDP, HTTP, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with integrated processing environments such as Storage Area Networks.
  • Willing to travel (at least 10% CONUS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cisco certifications preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
  • Dell Z9100/Force 10 networking
  • Cisco networking
  • VMWare

Clearance Requirement:

  • Minimum active/current Top Secret/SCI
  • Must be willing to submit to a CI and/or Full Scope Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Working with Data.
  • Move about freely in a laboratory setting.
  • Repetitive Motions.
