Engineering Support Remediation – Aviation Technical Orders and Publications

The role

In resolving the identified aviation technical Orders, Instructions and Publications (OIP) problems, the Chief of Air Force (CAF) has requested a Defence Aviation Technical Publications Remediation Program to be established. The role is to:

  • Conduct an initial investigation of the aviation technical OIP issues and themes identified in conjunction with Air Command and Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA), to identify and address root causes and consequently remediate extent issues
  • Complete a report on the proposed actions identified to remediate systemic and platform specific aviation technical OIP problems to be completed ASAP (‘Quick wins’ identified can be pursued early)
  • Deliver a final report based on the findings from the initial investigation in collaboration with Air Command and DASA.
  • The final report will subsequently inform a targeted remediation effort for systemic and platform specific aviation technical OIP issues
  • Produce an appropriate governance structure and activity schedule determined from the findings from the initial investigation.

Skills Required

  • Tertiary qualified Engineers (or equivalent) – Essential
  • Demonstrated expertise in Technical Writing
  • Administrative and business support capabilities for Stakeholder engagement, management and change management to enable successful delivery.

The successful applicant will require be required to hold an AGSVA NV1 clearance.
