Description

SAIC’s National Security Group (NSG) is seeking a GEOINT Acquisition Engineer to fill a critical position on the LANDMARK AOS program. The position will be located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.


LANDMARK AOS is a large SETA contract, supporting the customer’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle. 

 

The candidate will provide SETA support for the acquisition of GEOINT space and ground systems (hardware and software), cooperatively with government, FFRDC, and other SETA contractors. In this role you will actively support enterprise level architecture analysis, engineering studies, and specific system acquisition processes and procedures. intelligence community (IC).

 
Key functions include:
  • Provide day-to-day collaboration with development contractors, other Government program office personnel, and Government Customers on primarily acquisition functions in the GEOINT domain
  • Provide oversight, monitoring development and integration activities, ensuring alignment with Government requirements and objectives
  • Analyze a wide variety of mission thread projects including, technical baseline, project schedules, dependencies, risks and cost
  • Advise Senior and Mid-Level managers on acquisition decisions to include investment strategies, portfolio priorities, and risk assessment of project execution 
  • Provide technical and cost assessment of developer proposals, technical reports, design artifacts, and program plans

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience in engineering and/or acquisition of Intelligence Community (IC) and/or DoD spacecraft systems
  • Knowledge of IC and/or DoD acquisition roles, processes, and/or program management
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment with excellent communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced STEM degree
  • Experience with IC and/or DoD space architectures
  • Experience working within or closely with NRO Acquisition Offices
  • 9+ years in support of IC GEOINT systems and capabilities development
