The Opportunity

The Melbourne transport team has a variety of immediate secured work and future opportunities in the pipeline including North Western Program Alliance work Level Crossing Removal packages and other large road and rail and projects.

As a Design Coordinator you will deliver a portfolio of projects across a variety of disciplines including transport and civil infrastructure, buildings, and industry facility assets. These may be new build, upgrades or investigative in nature.

You will report to various Senior Project Managers and are required to project and client management outcomes.This includes working closely with the client to effectively manage expectations, forming relationships within the market to support development of new and ongoing work for the business and contribute to proposal and bid delivery.

In addition, you will manage the preparation of design and construction documentation, ensure projects are executed in accordance with KBR’s systems and processes and drive quality within the production of design deliverables.

Who are you?

You are an experienced engineer with a passion for design coordination and project management. You have a demonstrated background on local transport and infrastructure projects. you will have;

  • An accredited undergraduate degree in Engineering,
  • 7 - 10 years of design experience and project coordination within the local infrastructure sector,
  • Experience (2-3 years) with specification, design, or commissioning of civil, transport & infrastructure projects,
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with a range of key stakeholder’s
  • Ideally you will have recognised credentials in project management and engineering, e.g. PMP, CPEng or ability to get within 6 months
