Spectrum Support Specialist
ManTech is seeking a well-qualified spectrum management specialist to help support our current SED contract with the Marine Corps System Command.

ManTech is responsible for assisting our Government customer ensure that material solutions developed or acquired by Marine Corps Systems Command are system engineered, integrated, interoperable, and certified to provide the warfighter with equipment required to accomplish their mission.

To do that, ManTech assists our customer conduct the detailed systems engineering analysis, establishes technical policies and guidance across the Command, and manage the technical investigation and distributed planning required to deliver world class Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) systems capabilities to the warfighter.

Job Duties:
General Responsibilities: We are looking for a Spectrum Support Specialist to:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to Director, (SED/CERT) on the use and management of the electromagnetic spectrum for USMC systems.
  • Establish and update command policy for management of the Equipment Location Certification Information Database (EL-CID).
  • Obtain, via Spectrum XXI or other authorized means, spectrum resources to provide support to program office in support of the acquisitions process.
  • Prepare radio frequency propagation analysis, reports, and diagrams to support program offices within MCSC.
  • Create, modify and de-conflict radio frequency assignments to the appropriate operating forces in accordance with the parameters set forth in the Standard Frequency Action Format (SFAF) and in accordance with local approved policies.
  • Ensure all Spectrum Dependent (S-D) devices that are utilized have obtained spectrum certification (spectrum supportability) and if necessary, Host Nation Approval (HNC).
  • Provide technical expertise regarding Spectrum Supportability Risk Assessments (SSRA).

Mandatory Skills Requirements:
Should have experience supporting USMC or similar systems and shows increasing levels of responsibility. Knowledge in leading analysis efforts on highly complex problems or mission specific operational problems, directing technical teams on operational and/or developmental projects throughout system life cycle (development of requirements to final delivery).

Degrees:
Bachelor’s Degree (+6 years’ experience) or High School Diploma (+9 years’ experience) supporting DoD systems.

Skills:
Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure.
