Senior Business Development Manager

Roles and responsibilities

Responsible for business development and sales in the APAC region excluding China

Carry out financial feasibility studies, market research, competitor analysis and planning to define, identify and implement market entry strategies

Develop, identify project pipelines and evaluate specific business opportunities

Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Identify, build and manage long-term business relationships with strategic partners in the Oil and Gas and Energy sectors

Maintain and improve relationships with customers and build relationships with prospective customers

Participate in meetings and negotiations with potential clients and business partners to pursue business opportunities

Conduct market opportunity assessment to find leads and drive a continuous pipeline of sales

Execute an effective sales pitch with timely adaptation of strategies as and when required

Collaborate and liaise with Engineering Department and/or Consulting Department regarding all aspects of proposal work

Supervise the proposal process for the pursuits and ensure the win strategies are incorporated into the proposals

Manage and support the process of preparing qualifications, questionnaires, presentations, tenders, quotations and other pertinent data to support the business development

Cooperate with legal department and risk management department


Degree in Engineering with at least 10-15 years' industry experience preferably within Offshore Oil & Gas or Energy sector

Preferably 7-10 years’ of work experience relating to Business Development

Experience with industry EPC projects is an added advantage

Project Management experience is a plus

Demonstrated business acumen in balancing customer and business requirements

Client-focused, solution oriented with effective problem-solving skills aimed at building and maintaining relationships

A strategic and analytical thinker who will be able to influence decisions in a competitive landscape across multicultural environments

Effective oral and written communication skills

Good presentation skills

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
