We rely on a high level of technical competence and efficiency within our team and look for motivated, talented, and skilled innovators to join us in developing advanced solutions.TDA has an opening for a Production Technician to carry out sorbent and catalyst production. Material production quantities may vary from a few pounds to multiple tons of finished product. Multiple processes are used depending on the material, including mixers, extruders, tanks, and furnaces. Position will require production at all scales, with adequate notes and observations to facilitate reproduction and further scale-up activities. Production will require handling of large amounts of material and chemicals, including forklift operation. Applicant should be able to handle introduction of new materials and new processes, and multitask to complete multiple production processes and schedules concurrently. Candidate should have a background that demonstrates experience in multiple of the following areas:Batch-based ProductionBatch Control and History Quality ControlInventory ControlGeneral Laboratory Record Keeping and PracticesAdditionally, familiarity with production flow and packaging, streamlining and improving production processes, and troubleshooting product and processes issues would be highly beneficial.The candidate should have:Excellent chemical hygiene.Ability to work with a variety of hazardous materials, such as compressed gases, cryogenic liquids, acids, bases, oxidizers, and solvents. Some operations may require use of a dust mask or respirator. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.Ability to independently assess problems and complete tasks with minimal supervisionAbility to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
