Internal Audit Supervisor, Government Compliance

Job Description

Evaluates people, organization, projects, systems, and procedures to ascertain whether the organization is in compliance with regulations to deter fraud and safeguard assets. Inspects adherence to policies and produces and prepares audit reports for management review. Under general direction, uses specialized knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems, or direct the daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support team. Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks. Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices. May direct resources prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members. Relies upon experience, interpersonal skills, and broad knowledge of field to ensure task completion in compliance with policies, procedures, and business strategy.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, engineering, law, economics or related field
  • At least five (5) progressive experience in performing financial and/or operational audits, preferably with big four accounting firms, major consulting firms, government contractor, or E&C company
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) preferred
  • Experience working with Government contracts, either within the industry or the U.S. Government
  • Experience working with Deltek Costpoint preferred
