Quantity Surveyor – Cumbria
Busy and varied role mainly covering Pre & Post contracted elements. The QS will be supporting and providing an understanding of the projects supply chain requirements and addressing supplier issues. Giving strong market insight to innovative supply chain solutions. Analysing procurement data, identifying and implementing opportunities to drive efficiencies in procurements. The role is business facing with a significant level of stakeholder interaction. It is expected that the QS uses consultative skills to provide professional procurement/commercial advice and services to stakeholders, based on their business objectives, challenges, and strategy creating value for all parties.
The QS will be needed for technical knowledge specialist to their profession.
Experience and skills
Good NEC3 knowledge, contractual terms, tendering and well-rounded commercial awareness is needed.
Pre & Post NEC3 contract management, ability to identify and lead behavioural change in line with the stakeholder objectives.
Effective communication skills, with a collaborative mindset, have a problem-solving attitude and a drive for results.
Previous Quantity Surveying experience is needed with RICS qualified / or CIPS.
Proficient in the use of CEMAR .
