Role: Supply Chain Assistant

Location : Portsmouth, Hampshire

What’s the role all about:

You will provide support and effective execution of the JV Supply Chain strategy and manage supply chain relationships between the JV and the marketplace. You will be responsible for supporting the supply chain activities of the JV and the successful delivery of functional objectives. You will undertake day-to-day activities under general direction for supply chain requirements for all new projects and proposals globally. Supporting the drive for value for money, you will embody a proactive approach to Health, Safety, Security and Environment in your activities to support the mission, vision and values of the JV. You will follow all internal Supply Chain processes and always seek opportunities to continuously improve and optimise ways of working.

You will assist in supplier relationship management, performance management, market analysis, procurement process and engaging with cross-functional teams to share an understanding of how to work with the JV Supply Chain team.

Your key experience will be:

As a key individual within the Defence and / or Facilities / Asset management market you have experience / knowledge of operating various Supply Chain activities including strategic, operational and tactical tasks. You will have worked in a dynamic Supply Chain team and contributed to new strategies and initiatives. You will understand the importance of full supply chain coordination, relationship management and value for money propositions: wider than simply price and cost.

You will be confident to challenge the status quo, explore new initiatives and recognise areas for efficiency. You will be a collaborative and helpful individual who enjoys fixing problems and conveying solutions to others. You will engage in external forums to understand best Supply Chain practices, latest thinking and theories, and upcoming industry challenges and risks.
