Commercial Lead - Frameworks
Project Controls and Commercial Services (PCCS) is the mechanism in which Sellafield Ltd have engaged KBR Ltd to provide Commercial and Project Controls Services to the portfolio of enterprise projects, in addition to the original PPP programme. Those services include the provision of some 150+ Commercial and Project Controls Professionals across the Sellafield Ltd network of Projects.
Commercial Lead – Frameworks
Manage complex and routine procurement and supply chain management activities including strategy development, price analysis, negotiation and contract placement, management and close out within an assigned subcategory/ portfolio in order to contribute to the successful performance.
Manage a team of commercial professionals. May also supervise external contractors in commercial or quantity surveyor roles.
The role will require the job holder to work on and lead relatively large and complex procurement activities.
The role requires a broad and detailed knowledge of category management, procurement processes and wider commercial issues, this includes strategy development, cost and price analysis, negotiation, commercial risk assessment, contract placement, contract management and contract close out.
The incumbent has authority to contractually commit the Company to spend with the supply chain and while the jobholder operates within a given Commercial framework there remains a significant degree of latitude and decision-making authority within the operating model. These roles will be required to work collaboratively with both the internal stakeholders and suppliers, exploiting the benefit of collective knowledge in order to challenge and shape thinking to deliver fit for purpose solutions and value for money, while also driving performance to ensure hazard reduction and demonstrable progress.
They will identify and implement improvements and innovations within Commercial and related business activities
Role holder will be required to deputise for the category/ commercial manager.
Skills or Experience Required:
The role requires extensive experience of collaborative working and NEC3, and the candidate should have excellent people-management skills, be able to manage a demanding workload and must have the ability to drive the delivery of value for money through innovation and collaboration.
The candidate should be an advocate of professionalism, quality of work and personal & professional wellbeing.
Suitable professional qualification(s) is required. - Relevant professional membership(s) is ideal.
