Government Compliance, Lead Specialist

Lead Specialist, of Government Compliance

Responsible for ensuring compliance with government laws and internal operational policies, procedures, and systems. Manages and performs operational reviews and generates new policies and procedures as necessary to ensure continued compliance. Acts as primary liaison and interface for all reviews/audits. Under general direction, uses specialized knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems, or direct the daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support team. Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks. Uses judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices. May direct resources, prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members. Relies upon experience, interpersonal skills, and broad knowledge of field to ensure task completion in compliance with policies, procedures, and business strategy. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 7+ years of experience.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Prepare schedules and provide assistance in the development of the annual forward pricing rate proposals and incurred cost submissions, monthly cost monitoring
  • Perform monthly analysis of actual costs (rates) compared to budgeted cost (rates) to provide explanations of material variances to both KBR management and DCMA
  • Prepare advance modeling analysis associated with budgets, forecasts and historical data.
  • Conduct various special assignments as delegated by management

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree and 10 years of experience
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in performing cost/indirect rate monitoring and trending analysis
  • Effective use of Costpoint and Hyperion is a plus
  • Familiarity with the FAR and CAS is a plus
