The Opportunity

You’ll be a key member of our Transport team, who have secured a variety of exciting projects. Our dynamic team is currently delivering a range of local and national projects including the NWPA. The NWPA comprises of the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), Metro Trains Melbourne, KBR and John Holland Group.

The Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) was established by the Victorian Government to oversee the elimination of 75 level crossings across metropolitan Melbourne by 2025–improving safety, reducing congestion, improving travel time, reliability and increasing capacity to run more trains on the network.

We are also currently well positioned for further opportunities across national metropolitan and regional rail networks to deliver greenfield route design, duplications, Metros, yards & depots, brownfield rail upgrades and transit space studies, special trackwork designs, track structure advice & analysis and earthworks and track drainage design.

You will also have an opportunity to help in the development of graduate engineers, to bring on the next generation of track.? KBR has a proud history in developing successful track engineers in the VIC industry.

Who are you?

If COVID-19 has taught us anything, it’s that working together to reach common goals cannot be done without passion and commitment behind them. You will have a proven background in major infrastructure projects within the transport infrastructure industry.

As an individual you are excited by the prospects of delivering iconic projects with a key client.

You will posses the following skills and experience.

  • A relevant accredited Bachelor of Engineering
  • Demonstrated local experience on high value and complex rail infrastructure projects
  • Have strong familiarity and application of civil rail design standards
  • Strong practical knowledge of and commitment to health and safety
  • Chartered Status is preferred.
