SAIC is looking for a CANES Engineering Technician in Charleston, SC.

Candidate will develop technical writing support for the Consolidated Afloat Networks & Enterprise Services (CANES) and Afloat systems. Write, review, edit, and format technical documentation related to multiple design variations of C4IT/C4ISR shipboard computer systems installations.  Interact with technical users, project managers, drafters, system integrators, and engineers to define requirements ensuring user friendly layout of all technical documentation.  Read and interpret rack system drawings, parts lists, cable lists, and wiring diagrams created by engineers and drafters for each of the systems being built. Consolidate all pertinent information into a concise work instruction document for the rack integration.  Write shock testing procedures for the different CANES rack systems.  Perform Quality Assurance (QA) measures on documentation produced in support of the program.  Use CMPro to archive, store, and move documentation through the configuration management process for approval.



Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology, or formal electronics training from : Technical school, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications.

At least 15+ years of experience with system analyst techniques, test and evaluation procedures or support requirements for C5ISR system, subsystems, and equipment.

Must have at least 7 of the last 10 years experience with system analyst techniques, test and evaluation procedures in C5ISR systems, subsystems or equipment.
