IT Governance Analyst

KBR is seeking an IT Governance Analyst to be a part of the Aviation & Missile Center CIO/G6 team. You will use your expertise in IT operations, policy and procedure, organizational administration, change control systems, Federal regulations, and ITIL to help establish and maintain an efficient IT Governance posture. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, business management, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Job Function:

Establish an enterprise wide governance framework, with a focus on improvement of operational execution through modifications to organizational policies, standards, principles, metrics, processes, tools and architecture. Define roles and responsibilities related to governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the organizations information assets. Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with related policies, processes, standards, roles and responsibilities. Collaborate across the enterprise to identify process improvement opportunities pertaining to the use of information assets to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. Review, monitor and enforce governance policies.


  • Experience in an IT enterprise and / or IT cross-functional role
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Proven change management and relationship building experience
  • Excellent problem solving, dispute resolution, interpersonal, analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate tasks and multi-task
  • Strong focus on collaboration, team building, and customer service
  • Demonstrated experience in/with enterprise-wide IT governance
  • Ability to look across the business to determine linkages, identify process improvements, and recognize possible roadblocks
  • Demonstrated skill running effective meetings and gaining buy-in and participation from leaders, stakeholders, and participants
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project, MS SharePoint
  • Knowledge of information systems and business processes to develop, refine, and implement achievable IT governance goals

Typical duties will include working directly with the Government to:

  • Identify and write IT related policies, procedures, and plans
  • Design and implement governance structures, change control procedures, and configuration management processes
  • Administer the change control process
  • Research, process, and support the adjudication of change requests
  • Serve as secretary of the Change Control Board
  • Define metrics, collect data, and report on performance

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related field with 10 or more years’ of relevant experience
  • Candidate must have an active US Secret Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship.
