Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in the Washington, DC location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Configuration, allocation, and management of the Storage infrastructure.
  • Integration and operations for complex systems in an enterprise data center environment.
  • Backup and disaster recovery support for Enterprise-level applications.
  • Enterprise data migration and data replication
  • Advanced troubleshooting, trending analyses, capacity planning and technical support.
  • Creating and/or providing inputs towards SAN/NAS storage system documentation and status reports including but not limited to After Action Reports, Standard Operating Procedures, System Baseline Change Requests and Configuration Management Plans.
  • Create and update standard operating procedures and technical documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience as Storage Area Networks Administrator.
  • 6 years of relevant experience or enterprise data storage and protections systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of  SAN Switches Administration, Cisco MDS 9000 Multilayer switches, Cisco Fabric Manager & Device Manager DCNM/DCFM, Cisco NX-OS Software, SAN Zones, ISLs, SAN and NAS Storage Performance and Capacity Tools reports, Fiber Channel SAN;s, FCoE, FCIP, Block and File Storage (CIFS,NFS and Mixed protocols) Implementation and support.
  • Knowledge of Pure Storage Arrays Administration, Flash Array X and C Series, Flash Blade.
  • Knowledge of Windows file Server administration, Cloud implementations, Connectors, and Cloud integration of storage arrays.
  • Experience Configuring and supporting Cloud solutions and Services: Backup and BCDR (Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery) to cloud using AWS, Azure, storage and backup systems administration for large environment enterprise infrastructure systems.
  • Experience with Data Protection using Backups and Archive software preferably Commvault and appliances.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with SAN/NAS Storage, network/operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid Understanding of VMware ESX; vSphere, vCenter.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies, IT security and encryption technologies.
  • Understanding of Network Attached Storage (NAS) technologies and Data center layout and designs.
  • Knowledge of Hybrid, private and public clouds, Object storage, Kubernetes& containers.
  • Understanding of Blade Frame Chassis, servers& HCI, Virtual Connect switch hardware.
  • Understanding of BCDR procedures.
  • Understanding of Active/Active configurations, PowerShell scripting and job automation.
  • Effective communication, both orally and in writing, with senior staff, information systems professionals and the non-technical user community.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to maintain and secure Federal Government security clearance as deemed appropriate by management.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires the ability to work shifts to provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and participate in an on-call rotation.
