Course Developer/Instructor – Financial Management


Performs the following duties in support of the Acquisition Instructor Course (AQIC):

  • Providing product support in the form of developing, editing, modifying and teaching course materials
  • Producing and delivering coursework that provides a thorough understanding of systems acquisition finance including all the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPB&E) process and cost estimating
  • Developing curriculum, instructing students, facilitating discussions, conduct assessments, enabling student-centered active learning using available classrooms/technology and conduct consulting. Ensure students graduate with a firm grasp of the range of options available to a program at various phases of the product life cycle

FACTORS Knowledge Required by the Position:

  • Ability to perform required tasks in support of students/clients interested in Financial Management and to offer real-life examples of first-hand knowledge of related DoD policies and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with an understanding and practicing finance related Air Force Instructions (AFI), DoD instructions (DoDI), and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • An earned Bachelor degree in a relevant field of study with demonstrated teaching ability. A Master’s of Science degree (or higher) and/or professional teaching experience of adult students is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated professional knowledge with 10-15 years of specialized experience in finance or relevant professional career field
  • Understanding of how financial management integrates with program management, contracting management, life-cycle logistics, systems engineering
  • Experience with a program using the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, or other rapid fielding process, is desirable
  • Possess the ability to communicate clearly and expertly (in English) in both verbal and written forms concerning academic, administrative, and technical subject matters.
  • Eligible to obtain a SECRET security clearance background check investigation and possess a government common access card (CAC)
  • Offer real-life examples of first-hand knowledge of DoD policies and practices related to acquisition financial management experiences.
  • Ability to handle multiple shifting tasks and demands
