Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cloud Network Engineer to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing network and communication engineering support including planning, design, configuration, implementation, validation, and troubleshooting of physical/virtual network devices including firewalls, switches, routers, and load balancing devices.
  • Indepth working knowledge of the following protocols is required: IPv4, IPv6, VRFs, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, BFD, FabricPath, Spanning-Tree, VLANs, VxLAN, IPSec, GRE
  • Experience implementing Ethernet across 10/100MB, 1GB, 10GB, 40GB, 100GB media and transceivers a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills required to include use of Wireshark and TCPDump
  • Working knowledge of server technologies such as Windows, Linux, and VMware is a plus
  • Working knowledge of DNS, HTTP, Mutual-Authentication TLS, LDAP, Active Directory, TACACS+, RADIUS a plus
  • Former experience within DISA and DOD network environments
  • Experience with concepts such as Software Defined Networking (SDN), Cloud Computing, and UC is a plus
  • Excellent analytic and troubleshooting skills for problems that span multiple domains (application, network, system, hardware)
  • Providing engineering support for integrating new applications into cloud/hybrid cloud environments and transitioning existing applications into virtualized/cloud environments. This support includes the entire cycle of migration events, from supporting the customer in acquiring cloud infrastructure and services to testing and successful deployment. This support also includes supporting assessment of new environments, and supporting testing activities in the virtualized environments.
  • Technical analyzing and preparing of new workloads for migration.
  • Virtualization of legacy systems to use infrastructure services, including but not limited to, Physical to Virtual (P2V) workload conversion, where applicable, and Virtual to Virtual (V2V) workload conversion, where applicable.
  • Responding to technical issues in a timely fashion.
  • Supporting use of operational features such as machine image snapshotting and image libraries.
  • Support customer use of service Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Command Line Interface (CLI) s, and infrastructure service management consoles
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and MS Visio
  • Sound interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years DOD network engineering experience.
  • Must have one or more of the following certifications at the time of contract start: Cloud+, Security+, Network+, or CCNA.
  • Experience in engineering integration activities with all cloud services.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
