KBR is looking for a highly motivated Senior DevSecOps Engineer located in Colorado Springs, CO or Los Angeles, CA to support the Air Force and the Space & Missile Systems Center (SMC) Enterprise Ground Services (EGS) Project Office. This is a fast-paced and highly challenging position where you will be a member of a team that designs and develops advanced software capabilities as well as designing necessary hardware infrastructure to support the project office in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environment. The mission of EGS is to provide next generation services to Department of Defense space ground systems, with secondary objectives including the delivery of developer services, integration with legacy and associated mission systems and development and operation of a Defensive Cyber Operations monitoring and response platform to defend these environments.


  • The DevSecOps Engineers will perform CI/CD activities in support of the EGS project office
  • The DevSecOps Engineers will work to provide input and recommendations into the design, build, configuration, deployment, and initial sustainment of the system
  • Continually enhance automated deployment of the DevSecOps pipeline
  • DevSecOps Engineers will develop, deliver, operate, and manage a government owned DevSecOps CI/CD tools pipeline supporting the development, integration, test, operations and sustainment activities of the EGS project with consideration placed on:
  • Rapid, Secure, and Agile development environments consistent with industry best practice
  • Integration and automation of the program’s security posture
  • Design, documentation, and implementation of the multi-enclave, multi-environment, and extendable PaaS solution


  • Experience developing and releasing software products in public and/or private cloud environments such as VMWare, OpenStack, AWS/GovCloud and/or Azure
  • Experience with front end development, ideally utilizing Python
  • Experience with virtualized cloud environments
  • Experience administering Windows and Linux platforms
  • Solid grasp of IT networking fundamentals
  • Experience with software security, secure coding, scripting and/or software assurance tools and techniques
  • Desired languages include Python, Java and C++ Experience conducting development in government classified environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a technical field such as computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or physics
  • Recognized Industry Cybersecurity, RedHat and/or Developer Certification(s) such as RHCSA/RHCE/RHCA, CISSP, CEH, Security +, AWS Certified Developer, CSSLP


  • Experience with one or more automation/orchestration toolsets such as: Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet
  • Experience/Familiarity with deploying, maintaining, and operating, and managing development within a PaaS environment using tools such as: OpenShift with Kubernetes (OKD) and/or Docker
  • Experience using provisioning tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with integration in a DevSecOps, CI/CD and/or Agile Environment
  • Experience with various continuous development tools such as: Jenkins, Eggplant, Artifactory, Gradle, GitHub
  • Experience/Familiarity with: ELK, SIMP
  • Familiarity with system authorization under Risk Management Framework (RMF)


Must have active DoD Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI
