Mechanical Design Engineer

Design & develop engineering products required to manufacture, assemble & integrate SLS Exploration Upper Stage (EUS) hardware, including production flight hardware as well as development & qualification articles and the associated engineering products/artifacts as required.

Responsibilities:

  • CREO Computer Aided Design Expert to perform independent model/design reviews
  • Support and develop artifacts as part of model deliveries
  • Perform CAD model checks & provide technical expertise/support to team to improve/fix/develop CAD models in preparation for releases as required
  • Provide expertise to develop Model Based Design processes & tools

Job Requirements:

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

  • Minimum 3 years of recent Pro-E experience.
  • Must be proficient with design using Pro-E Wildfire 5, Creo2 Parametric.
  • Must have experience with a Product Data Management system (PDM).
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have Experience of ASME Y14.5-1994, Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Experience with Space Vehicle design is preferred, but not mandatory
