KBR is seeking a highly motivated Configuration Manager to support a GEOINT Acquisition Program Office responsible for the design, development, and acquisition of geospatial-intelligence data systems. The Acquisition Office provides innovative technical solutions for the acquisition and delivery of activity-based collection capabilities that provide timely and relevant intelligence to the user community. The position supports configuration management activities associated with program and cross-organization baseline control.

Key skills / duties include:

  • Manage configuration baseline by overseeing the Government managed configuration control boards, engineering review boards, technical review boards, and other control mechanisms.
  • Institute rigorous control processes to document baseline configurations and manage process to implement product and process changes to comply with NRO Business Function directives and processes.
  • Coordinate review board schedules and timelines with Government customer.
  • Assist in tracking of development contract Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), responses to CDRLs, CDRL approval letters.
  • Coordinate reviews of baseline documentation with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to comply with NRO Business Function directives and processes.
  • Support the development and coordination of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) artifacts, Independent Program Review documentation, and other acquisition management/engineering documentation.
  • Support program baseline management, CDRL tracking, engineering change request processes for technical and programmatic impacts on contract and technical baselines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience with Bachelor’s of Science degree
  • 3-5 years of experience with NRO space systems acquisition
  • Knowledgeable in use of NRO system engineering tools and configuration management processes
  • Experience in working with development contractors and/or FFRDC staff
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who can partner with multiple teammates
  • Ability to travel as required

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience with activity-based collection or GEOINT
  • 5-8 years of experience in NRO GEOINT system acquisition
  • Major System Acquisition experience in NRO and IC acquisition processes
