KBR is seeking a GEOINT Imagery Scientist to provide technical advisory services to a Customer program office that is developing the next-generation of space and ground system architecture, hardware, and software solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Utilize Geospatial Information Systems to perform geospatial analysis and assessments. Produce visual products and reports.
  • Collaborate with industry scientists and analysts to explore and develop new operational concepts (CONOPs), mission threads, and architectures to solve some of the most complex intelligence and defense problems.
  • Review data sets and analyses to support advanced imaging processing algorithm development.
  • Use scripting languages such as JAVA, Python, and SQL to write scripts to manipulate data and automate complex workflows.
  • Review, assess, and monitor TCPED activities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for system enterprise activities, including integration and test oversight.
  • Develop training material and provide training for new systems and capabilities that are being deployed


  • BS/MS in GIS, Mathematics, Engineering, Cartography, Spectroscopy, Physics, Chemistry, or Computer Science required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of IC experience with TCPED activities.
  • Experience with spectral data analyses and image processing tools and applications in a development and operations environment.
  • NRO satellite space and ground experience preferred.
  • NGA image scientist or image analysist experience preferred.
  • Experience with intelligence reporting.
  • Self-starter who can partner with multiple teammates.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications, writing, and briefing skills across multiple organizational levels
