Thank you for your interest in joining the KBR team. Together, we can leverage the next generation of advanced technologies to deliver industry-leading capabilities across land, air, sea, space, and cyberspace. Our goal is to deliver innovative solutions using an agile, mission-first approach to address the most difficult technical challenges facing our customers. The only way that we can tackle these challenges is by recruiting the brightest minds in the industry to join our team.

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated professionals in El Segundo, CA and Colorado Springs, CO who assist the U.S. Air Force and Space Force in developing and deploying the next generation of satellites and ground systems for missile warning (MW) and space-based environmental monitoring (SBEM). These systems alert senior military officials when missile launches occur around the globe, as well as enable global naval vessel and troop movements by providing mission-critical weather data to ensure safe passage.

The KBR Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team has a need for a Systems Engineer to provide Tactical ISR expertise in support of the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC). Candidate will provide SE&I support to the Missile Warning (MW) Capability Area.

  • Utilize experience with ISR strategies to define production of tailored intelligence, mission planning and targeting, collection management and communication support that provide the “shooter” courses of action and options for responding, developing, and initiating combat actions.
  • Collaborate with prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force.

Process enhancements:

  • The ISR strategy is to incorporate sensor data (full spectrum) into a data repository(ies), make this data available for all communities to use.
  • Create/enhance algorithm development to use the intelligence and provide to warfighter the desired visualization tool/method to the Operation Centers for Courses of Action (COA) development.

Data exploitation first philosophy:

  • Essential to this strategy is the paradigm shift from “owning” data sources and repositories to “owning” data exploitation algorithms. This effort is not limited to a single capability area and must be provided across the enterprise.

Data dissemination/Visualization:

  • How to present will be driven by warfighters now able to handle the “big data” presented.

Required Qualifications :

  • 10 years experience working with space systems familiar with All-Domain or Multi-Domain Operations.
  • Candidate should have experience with space and terrestrial Weather systems, ground and space system acquisition, and system engineering experience.
  • Experience leading systems engineering activities in the development, transition to operations, operations, and sustainment of complex satellite systems.
  • Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Air Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment.

Security Clearance Requirement: must have an active TS/SCI clearance
