Description
SAIC is looking for U.S. Navy Desktop Refresh Technician to support a US Navy client in San Diego, CA. This position is remote from home with travel up to 75% CONUS and OCONUS to various Navy bases. Over-time is possible for this role.
Job Duties:
Implement replacement PCs, deploy mission critical software, messaging and command data to new hardware equipment.
Responsible for the staging, imaging, and deployment of new desktop/laptop machines and migration of user data.
Image and push applications packages to new workstations.
Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues.
Perform asset management for site-specific properties, including custody transfer, daily status report and tracking of assets using Microsoft Access database.
Manage trouble tickets. This includes tracking resolution progress and updating customers on ticket status
Travel 75% to OCONUS and CONUS locations
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
AA Degree in related discipline and three (3) years related experience; Or, High School and five (5) years related experience with relevant certification.
Required skills:
Current Security+, CASP, or CISSP
2 years Desktop Support/PC Technician experience
Windows OS, Software applications Operating Systems and light network experience
Possess excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Excellent communication skills.
Must be able to carry 15 pounds.
Required clearance:
Must have an active Secret security clearance.
Travel Requirement:
Travel 75% of the time
Target salary range: $55,001 - $65,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
