Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Configuration Management Specialist L2-midlevel to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Works in a team environment to establish and execute a configuration management program for multiple systems/programs in various stages of design, development or operations.
  • Control configuration of baselines through Configuration Control Boards.
  • Monitor the incorporation of configuration change items. 
  • Contribute to the documentation and life cycle management of changes. 
  • Maintain configuration control databases and provides status accounting of engineering changes to IPTs and program management. 
  • Conduct audits of CM activities throughout a project’s life cycle to verify compliance with established CM procedures and standards and to verify that CIs and system performance and functionality are compliant with specifications
  • Produces reports on software releases related to delivered changes, results from functional testing, and various change management metrics.
  • Plans and/or facilitates internal/external configuration audits.
  • Train personnel on Configuration Management Procedures
  • Acts as a liaison between the development and operations teams to communicate changes and expected issues in production environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline (Education can be substituted for 4 additional years of related experience).
  • 5+ years of experience with Configuration Management Tools or IT Service Management tools.
  • Knowledge of configuration management practices. 
  • Possess the ability to create/analyze configuration accountability records. 
  • Ability to verify that configuration documentation is compliant with applicable requirements. 
  • The candidate must be able to work in a team environment and be proficient in MS Office applications, including Visio, Word, and Excel.
  • This position supports an IT operations environment.  The successful candidate should expect to support work on nights and weekends and may be included in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CMMI or ITIL experience
  • Understanding of Systems Development Lifecycle Process
  • Experience with BMC Remedy Tool Suite
  • Experience with IBM software provisioning, release, and version control
  • Familiarization with AIX, LINUX, UNIX, and Windows operating systems management
  • Use of Microsoft SharePoint

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active DOD Secret clearance and ability to obtain agency suitability clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to type
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs
