ManTech is seeking a dynamic thought leader to join our Sales Centers of Excellence (CoE) team as our Executive Director, Market, Competitive Intelligence & PTW Research in Herndon, VA.
As a thought leader in the Sales CoE you will work closely with business development and capture teams to provide decision support, strategy and insights regarding market and industry opportunities.
Own and drive ManTech’s current and future MR & CI footprint to ensure ManTech is positioned to Win large contracts spanning ManTech’s 3 sectors – Intel, DoD and FedCiv.
Provide meaningful and impactful thought leadership to the senior executive team as part of ManTech dynamic, growing Sales CoE.
Lead and develop a team of highly skilled professionals in providing industry-leading decision support regarding market and industry opportunities?to optimize current and future talent resources
Manages departmental costs within the determined budget and ManTech’s financial goals
Engage with senior leadership to develop and execute effective Market and Competitive Research protocols, engagement models and overall strategy
Deliver executive level strategy, in depth and intimate account planning support using detailed analysis of customer budgets, customer buying patterns, competitive bidding behaviors, technology trends
Provide and present customer intelligence and strategy for sector and executive teams spanning the enterprise
Market Research & Competitive Intelligence
Provide the MR team members the framework and tools required to deliver actionable intelligence and compelling analysis for executive leadership
Analyze the team’s assessments spanning the government budget data and strategy documents to understand the direction of future funding
Advise strategy formulation and identify deal-specific actions in key agencies to support ManTech’s Strategic 2023 growth goals
Analyze and interpret data to recommend path forward to reach business goals and objectives
Support the company’s business activities to enhance decision-making processes and situational awareness
Ensures company has adequate information and understanding of all targeted competitors and markets by continuously monitoring developments and subsequent impact on market share
Ability to compile and analyze data to formulate competitor growth strategy based on market trends, past performance, investment strategies, pricing strategies and company capabilities
Collects, synthesizes, and analyzes market and competitive information in order to develop actionable insights to drive growth.
Develops and implements a process that allows for delivering a consistent cadence for competitive intelligence reports, establishing milestones and standard deliverables for review and action
Actively involved in external industry organizations and advising ManTech leadership on industry trends, direction, best practices, etc. ?
Develops effective partnering relationships with key government leaders
Understands and stays current with competitive forces throughout the industry, and proactively engages with ManTech’s business leaders to defend and expand the business
Supports strategic positioning for new business opportunities throughout the business development process
Assists in the execution of ManTech’s strategic plan
Advises ManTech’s leadership of business opportunities to improve financial performance through MR & CI actions
Drive facilitating CI/MR/PTW discussions as part of Black Hats
Developing competitive assessments, funding analysis, top-down and bottoms-up program price analysis, market-based price analysis, probable bid price ranges, and design-to-cost target allocations
Develop CoE PTW frameworks to optimize support spanning sector opportunity pursuits
Develop and operationalize best practices for engaging PTW leads throughout the Capture lifecycle to ensure that CI/MR/PTW is influencing strategy in an ongoing, consultative manner
A minimum of (14) ten-years of related experience in federal budget analysis, market research, competitive analysis, forecasting, pricing analysis, and/or financial analysis
10+ years of experience managing MR , CI and PTW teams for a similar size company ($2.5B)
5+ years of experience developing and delivering enterprise MR, CI and PTW strategies to teams and executives
Extensive understanding of the federal budget, spending, and acquisition process
Extensive PTW experience supporting and winning large (750M+) opportunities
Strong working knowledge of market and competitive dynamics within the federal government services market.
Deep understanding of customer award behaviors / competitor bidding behaviors within federal markets.
Proven ability to assess commercial databases to identify upcoming opportunities to assist our sectors in selecting business targets for upcoming years
Self-motivated/self-starter able to work well with little direct supervision or day-to-day guidance yet attuned to deadlines; ability to collaborate across the company by being a team player.
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect internal and external data points in order to develop actionable intelligence.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong expertise with various tools: FPDS, Deltek GovWinIQ, DACIS, BGOV, and other government or third-party resources such as Gartner and Forrester
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant area of study
Security Clearance Requirements:
DoD Top Secret clearance
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and must be able to lift and move objects weighing 25 pounds or more
