Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Operations Officer to join our team in the McLean, VA.

The Operations Officer will manage a specific geographic station or transnational issues. They will draft, coordinate and/or monitor production of reporting, and apply knowledge and expertise of operations, tradecraft, and intelligence priorities when providing strategic guidance and operational case management. In addition, Operations Officer/SOOs are responsible for program management, from traditional operational activities to specialized initiatives and actions.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Review, vet, prioritize, track, and respond to assigned taskings in response to internal Sponsor and/or external tasking requests (IC, Executive Branch, Congressional, other government organizations as required.

  • Prepare talking point briefings, compile read ahead books and background papers as requested in support of liaison visits and policy meetings.

  • Coordinate issues/actions across the Sponsor and the IC.

  • Develop policies, strategies and plans to advance the missions of the Sponsor, Directorate, Mission Center, or Component.

  • Assist with policy, Congressional and budgetary issues.

  • Support management of projects and programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • *Possess an active TS/SCI with a Polygraph*

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years or more of related work experience (or five years additional experience in lieu of a degree).

  • Relevant IC certifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with IC or other USG agencies performing work similar in scope

  • Certification in Sponsor basic tradecraft courses

  • Cable writing and use of the contract’s databases

  • Prior service in the contract’s directorate assignment 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Ability to occasionally move about inside the office to attend meetings and speak to customers in-person.

  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations--must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
