ABOUT THIS POSITION

KBR requires a Program Manager, located in the Dayton, OH or Crystal City, VA area to support F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program Office Logistics (LOG) Information Systems (IS) Delivery Stream planning and execution activities. The F-35 LOG IS Delivery Stream is responsible to ensure IS are fully integrated across the F-35 weapons system enterprise to meet the demands of a growing fleet of aircraft fielded around the world. This highly complex mission area requires specialized skills and expertise.

The candidate should be experienced and successful at administering and executing the technical and management processes for establishing and maintaining consistency of a product’s performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information throughout the product life cycle. The successful candidate should enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, as well as, dedicated to the success of our customers and their training needs. The candidate must work well with a widely dispersed team and be assertive in capturing key inputs and data to incorporate into various products on a daily basis. The candidate must also have excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening). Proficiency with developing presentations (PowerPoint) and written documents for executive-level review and consumption is necessary. Familiarity with DoD 5000.02 acquisition policies and processes, a plus, but not required. Likewise, familiarity with DoD and international military protocols, customs and courtesies, is a plus, but not required.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Plan/execute initiatives and special projects in order to realize the F-35 LOG IS Director’s vision for the organization and mission
  • Develop and execute project/program plans from tasking through completion using common US Government IT tools and practices
  • Assist the government in developing requirements and manage those requirements
  • Develop, review, and deliver high-level, professional products for the government (e.g. SOWs, RFPs, and briefing materials to support weekly meetings and PMRs)
  • Use of Microsoft Office suite of applications/tools to develop and publish products for senior executive review, coordination and approval
  • Drafting correspondence on behalf of government for wide distribution to key mission stakeholders at tactical and strategic levels
  • Preparing government senior leaders for meetings and engagements, ensuring all relevant information is conveyed and fully understood to support discussions and decision-making
  • Develop plans including budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for several major portions of a program
  • Establish and define program plan requirements and direct or performs in-depth studies to determine optimum program plans
  • Coordinate interdepartmental development of program plans
  • Interfaces with vendors and customers and performs extensive investigations as required

Travel: Occasional travel required (10-15%) to Arlington, VA, Fort Worth, TX, and other F-35 support and operating locations may be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 8 years of Project/Program Management experience
  • DoD Clearance Requirement: Secret
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills is a must
  • Familiarity with DoD 5000.02 acquisition policies and/or mission transition or centralization projects is ideal, but not required.

The Program Manager must demonstrate comprehensive experience and knowledge of:

  • Business Analyst tactics, techniques, and procedures
  • Managing project cost, schedule, and performance
  • Communication skills with customers, end users, and analysts in order to provide recommended contractual language to specific test-related sections of solicitations
  • Working with geographically-dispersed teams to produce documents and presentations for senior executive and stakeholder consumption
  • Engaging with customers at both working and senior levels
  • Developing and executing project/program plans from tasking through completion using common IT tools and practices
  • Knowledgeable in the application of distribution statements, destruction notices, and FAR/DFARS data rights clauses
  • Professional writing skills, to include Staff Summary Sheets (SSS) and “ghost” writing on behalf of senior government leaders
  • Using Microsoft Office suite of applications/tools to develop and publish products for senior executive review, coordination, and approval
  • Prepping senior leader(s) for meetings and engagements, ensuring all relevant information is conveyed and understood to support discussions and decision-making

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with aircraft sustainment and/or DoD/USAF supply chain management
  • F-35 ALIS and/or other software implementation experience
  • Tableau experience
  • AFLCMC and/or F-35 JPO experience
